Take Me to Australia 2025: Lucy O’Brien’s Unforgettable Adventure

Lucy O’Brien, the 2025 winner has returned from an incredible journey Down Under with memories to last a lifetime.

Each year, InfoTrack’s ‘Take Me to Australia’ competition gives one lucky winner and their guest the opportunity to experience the trip of a lifetime. For 2025’s winner, Lucy O’Brien—a Senior Paralegal in the Post-Completion team at Bishopsgate Law—it was a chance to celebrate, explore, and unwind with her partner James and their six-year-old daughter, Nancy.

Lucy is no stranger to InfoTrack. She uses the platform daily to submit AP1s and manage requisitions, describing it as essential to her role. “I use it every single day. I couldn’t live without it,” she said.

Lucy’s reaction to winning the competition was one for the books. “I was on the school run, literally in Costa while Nancy was having a babyccino before drama class,” she laughs. “My phone kept going off, and I thought something terrible had happened. Then I got a call from Harry, and I was like, ‘Oh my Gosh, what have I done?’ But he told me I’d won the trip to Australia. I honestly thought he was pulling my leg!”

The journey kicked off with five nights in Sydney, which coincided with James’ 40th birthday. “We were already planning something for his birthday, and then this trip happened. It was like the stars aligned,” Lucy shared. While in Sydney, the family explored the iconic Taronga Zoo and soaked up the energy of the city. “James is more of a city guy, so I let him take the lead in Sydney,” she said.

Next on the itinerary was Uluru, where the family enjoyed a sunset BBQ and an unforgettable sunrise tour. “We sort of played it by ear in Uluru,” Lucy explained. “It was less structured, but so special. Just being there felt magical.”

The final leg of the adventure took them to Port Douglas in Queensland and it quickly became everyone’s favourite. “That part of the trip had proper holiday vibes,” Lucy said. “It was hot, we were walking along a strip of lovely restaurants, and it just felt so relaxed.”

Port Douglas delivered unforgettable moments for the whole family. Nancy enjoyed breakfast with koalas and was fascinated by the crocodile sanctuary, where she watched crocs leap from the water during a boat tour. “That whole day seeing the wildlife, the koalas, and the crocs, was her favourite, alongside snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef,” Lucy said. “It’s just not something you can experience at home.”

The family also visited Four Mile Beach and spent time lounging by the pool, making the most of their final days in paradise. “Port Douglas was perfect. After the go-go-go of Sydney and Uluru, it was so nice to wind down.”

Reflecting on the experience, Lucy summed it up beautifully: “Trip of a lifetime doesn’t even cover it. I’ve never been to Australia, never even thought I would because it’s just so far. But now I’ve snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef, seen Uluru, and watched my daughter cuddle a koala. These are memories we’ll carry forever.”

InfoTrack is proud to have made this dream trip a reality for Lucy, James, and Nancy, and we can’t wait to find out who next year’s lucky winner will be.
